WayCharts is a web-based task planning and execution platform operated by Progressum Integrated Ltd., based in Jamaica. We help service operators, consultants, and teams plan, execute, and improve repeatable work processes.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WayCharts collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data. It applies to all users of the WayCharts platform at waycharts.net, including account holders, team members invited to a workspace, and visitors to the website.

This policy is prepared in accordance with the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020 (DPA).

3. What Data We Collect

3.1 Account Information

When you register for WayCharts, we collect:

  • First name and last name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored in encrypted form — we never see your plain-text password)

3.2 Workspace and Operational Data

When you use WayCharts, you may create and store:

  • Job and task plans, templates, activities, and completion criteria
  • Task instances and execution records
  • Activity notes and written observations
  • Photos and images captured during task execution
  • Time entries, duration estimates, and actuals
  • Income and expense records per task instance
  • Contact information for people you add to your workspace
  • Team member assignments and delegation records

This operational data belongs to you. We store it on your behalf to provide the service.

3.3 Usage and Technical Data

During the current beta period, we collect limited technical data to identify and fix bugs and improve the platform:

  • Error logs
  • Feature usage patterns (which features were used, not what content was created)
  • Performance metrics

We do not collect the content of your templates, tasks, or notes for operational improvement purposes.

3.4 Data You Do Not Provide Directly

We do not use tracking pixels, third-party analytics, or advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites.

4. Why We Collect Your Data

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

5. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve the WayCharts service. Specifically:

  • To create and maintain your account
  • To store and display your plans, instances, tasks, notes, photos, and records
  • To enable team collaboration features (assigning tasks, sharing workspaces)
  • To generate reports and client-facing documents from your data
  • To identify and fix technical issues during the beta period

We do not:

  • Sell, trade, or profit from your data in any way
  • Use your data to train AI models or algorithms
  • Share your data with marketing partners, analytics companies, or ad networks
  • Use insights from your usage to build competing products

6. Who Has Access to Your Data

You and your invited team members are the only people who can see your workspace data within the platform. Access is controlled by the permissions you set.

WayCharts staff may access data only when necessary to investigate a technical issue or respond to a support request, and only to the minimum extent required.

We do not sell or transfer your data to any third party for commercial purposes.

6.1 Service Providers

WayCharts uses the following categories of service providers who may process data on our behalf:

  • Hosting infrastructure: WayCharts is hosted on Akamai Cloud Computing (formerly Linode) servers located in the United States. Akamai operates under a formal Data Processing Agreement and employs cross-border data transfer mechanisms including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure your data is protected to a standard consistent with applicable data protection laws. Akamai will not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • Email delivery: We use an email service to send account-related notifications (for example, password resets). This provider processes only your email address for this purpose.

Where data is transferred outside Jamaica, we ensure the receiving territory provides an adequate level of protection for your rights as required under the DPA.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will process the deletion within 30 days. After deletion, your data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

During the beta period, error logs and performance data are retained for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted password storage
  • HTTPS (TLS) for all data in transit between your browser and our servers
  • Access controls limiting who within WayCharts can view data

We are actively working to implement additional security measures including AES-256 encryption at rest, two-factor authentication (2FA), and automated daily backups.

No system is completely secure. If you become aware of a security concern related to your account, please contact us immediately at privacy@waycharts.net.

9. Your Rights Under the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020

As a data subject under the Jamaica DPA, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correction — You may request that inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected.
  • Right to deletion — You may request that your account and all associated data be permanently deleted.
  • Right to withdraw consent — Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Right to object — You may object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to complain — You may file a complaint with Jamaica's Office of the Information Commissioner if you believe your rights have been violated.

10. Cookies

WayCharts uses session cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you logged in while you use the platform. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

11. Children's Privacy

WayCharts is intended for use by adults operating or working within a business context. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us and we will delete the account.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Continued use of WayCharts after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
